Herbal Medicines made from mother earth using her old lore combined with Celtic Plant Lore, bringing it forward as holistically made herbal preparations made within a ceremonial environment to aid in the healing process. Every medicinal plant has come to creation to support human beings, they too have their ancestors and their own creations stories, which we will share based on Scottish Herbal Lore.

Join me in making some much needed organic home made Winter remedies to suit the whole family using Celtic Plant Lore methods, that will help with any winter lurgies and best of all you can make them whenever you need them . We will make Tinctures/Extracts in 2 different ways which is helpful especially when we need something in a hurry as well as other simple and organic home remedies including syrups of elderberry and ginger. Gathering in our cozy Strawbale cabin , all materials will be supplied and some warm and yummy soup for lunch. Bookings are required in order to prepare materials and bookings do need to be confirmed 2 days before workshop begins. The weekend workshop value is $300. We will learn a couple of different ways to prepare our oils ready for salve and cream making . All our preparations are suitable for adults and children. A Story of Legend - Mugwort
A healing man from Galloway was said to receive at least some of his medicinal knowledge from a mermaid. When a local girl fell ill with consumption, the man tried his best to cure her but his herbs had no affect. Whilst he sat sorrowing on the shore, a mermaid appeared in the waves and sang to him.....

The man sprung up and set about gathering the flowers of Mugwort to make a tincture that he then gave to Mary and she was soon restored to full health
Back in the late 1800's and early 1900's we know consumption today by TB (Tuberculosis ) or the other common name of White Plague. It was a bacteria that primarily infected the lungs causing a hacking cough, fatigue and lung pain. My mother was hospitalised with this along with her sister, from drinking unpasteurised milk direct from the farms in the second world war.
